aternio is knowledge, passion and expertise in finance, tax & legal. For people and companies. Our passion for service and expertise come together in an integrated and efficient organization. At aternio, teamwork, quality and efficiency are at the center of our work.
With our founder, Manu Lemmens, our roots go back to the 1960s. In 1984, the founding of Fidulemco provided the legal impetus for our current organization. Under the leadership of Johan Lemmens, the firm joined an international association of independent accounting firms in 2000, the forerunner of PrimeGlobal. In 2007, we co-founded Alaska, a national economic alliance of firms. In 2015, we decided to leave this partnership and continue under the name aternio from now on. In 2017, Karen Muylaert and Cindy Vervaet joined Johan as partners and together became the driving forces of aternio. In 2019, aternio finance and aternio legal continued as independent legal entities. In the summer of 2020, aternio co-founded Complium, a partnership of innovative and independent accountancy firms.
